The customer

The Guerlain teams, with whom we have long-standing relationships, contacted us to discuss the launch of the Cha Ling brand.

They wanted to investigate the creation of a reusable porcelain container, to match the sustainable commitment of the Cha Ling brand.

The challenge

We had to design a cream pot that could clip on a plastic refill and eject it with a simple push from the bottom. This solution allows the brand to develop a variety of cream solutions and customers will only have to purchase the porcelain container once. This makes it a durable and valuable item that can be displayed in the bathroom.

The challenge taken up

After two years of research, we developed a technical solution to clip and hold the plastic tub inside the porcelain pot, while respecting the adjustment tolerances between the two materials.

The same difficulty of adjusting the lid had to be developed to allow the plastic insert to bond precisely and thus ensure a perfect seal.

The result

The innovation, which is part of the sustainable product development movement, was awarded a prize at the ceremonies for the best innovations in the field of environmentally friendly luxury packaging.

We are doubly proud of this collaboration.
